Watergate, Social media and changes to Political landscape with Rufus Edmisten
Rufus Edmisten was born and raised in Boone, North Carolina. He earned his undergraduate degree in political science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After 10 years of being part of North Carolina Senator Sam Ervin's staff, he served as Deputy Chief Counsel to the Watergate Committee.
Rufus was elected the state's Attorney General in 1974. In 1988, he was elected to the office of Secretary of State. In 1996, he launched a governmental relations legal practice called Edmisten & Webb Law. Rufus has over 30 years of experience in public and private legal practice. He has developed extensive business and government contacts, including strong ties with state, regional, national, and international leaders.
